Aloe Vera (Aloe barbadensis) has been cultivated for thousands of years and is one of the most widely used medicinal plants on the planet. It is a perennial plant with long succulent leaves and long roots, making it a very attractive option to have in your home. Aloe Vera plants are also very useful, as the sap or gel found inside the leaves has moisturizing, anti-inflammatory, healing, antibacterial properties and acts as a natural antioxidant and antiviral, and can be applied to the skin to relieve the pain of scratches and burns.

It prefers direct sunlight, but can also tolerate bright indirect light.
Water moderately, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings.
It grows well at temperatures between 13°C and 27°C.

Use well-drained soil, such as a specific mix for cacti and succulents.
Fertilize once a month in spring and summer with a diluted fertilizer.
Remove dried or damaged leaves to encourage healthy growth.
Resistant to most pests, but can be affected by mealybugs and mites.
