The Pineapple Bromeliad, scientifically known as Ananas comosus, is a tropical plant prized for its delicious and ornamental fruit. Originally from South America, its leaves are long and thorny, forming a rosette that gives rise to the fruit in the center. As well as being a fruit-bearing plant, it is also appreciated for its exotic aesthetics in gardens and interiors.

It prefers direct sunlight or very bright indirect light. It should be positioned in a well-lit area.
Water moderately, keeping the soil slightly damp. Avoid waterlogging the soil to prevent root rot.
Grows best at temperatures between 20°C and 30°C. It does not tolerate temperatures below 15°C.
It prefers relative humidity between 60% and 80%. It may be necessary to spray the leaves in very dry environments.
It needs well-drained soil rich in organic matter. A soil mixture for cacti and succulents is suitable.
Fertilize every 4-6 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced fertilizer, diluted to half the concentration.
Remove dead or damaged leaves to keep the plant healthy and stimulate new growth.
Can be affected by mealybugs and mites. Inspect regularly and treat with insecticidal soap or neem oil.
It does not usually need additional support. Keep the plant in a stable place, protected from strong winds.
