Description
Originally from southwest China, the Carmona Bonsai belongs to the Boraginaceae family. This is a small, slow-growing tree with evergreen leaves that are much appreciated for their lush green color.
It produces a white flower which can be followed by a fruit. There are 2 varieties, the large-leaved (Macrophyla) and the small-leaved (microphyla), the latter of which bears fruit more easily.

Place it indoors next to a window (maximum distance 50 cm), without curtains or blinds, where it gets 2-3 hours of direct sunlight a day, rotated 180º every week, away from heat sources or air conditioning.
Water the soil abundantly until enough water comes out of the drainage holes to evenly moisten the soil, always from above and never by immersion, using a fine-drained watering can. Allow the topsoil to dry out well between waterings (to check if the plant needs water, touch the soil with your fingers). It doesn't consume a lot of water, so it is sensitive to root fungus if subjected to excess water and/or lack of light. If you have a dish under the Bonsai, never leave any water in it (to prevent the roots from rotting).
It can spend the warm months outside, but it can't stand temperatures below 12ºC.
Apply "Bio Bonsai" all year round, and "Fertil Bonsai" from February to November. The regular use of "P/K Bonsai" and "Rhiza Bonsai" from February to November is an excellent preventative measure against root fungus, which can occur due to excess water and/or lack of light.
It is slow-growing, although its leaves are beautiful for a long time, so we must control the new shoots as soon as they reach the desired size.
With "Terra Bonsai-Folhosas" and "Rhiza Bonsai" in April/May with pruning and/or partial defoliation.
Unusual, but can be done all year round. However, bear in mind that it is a very brittle bonsai.
