Schlumbergera is a succulent plant popularly known as the Christmas Cactus due to its flowering, which typically occurs during the winter. Originally from the tropical forests of Brazil, this plant is appreciated for its showy and colorful flowers, which vary from pink to red, orange and white. It is an excellent choice for interior decoration during the end-of-year festivities, due to its beauty and ease of cultivation.

Cares
Prefers bright indirect light, but can tolerate medium light. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent leaf burns.
Keep the soil slightly damp, watering moderately and allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. Avoid waterlogging.
Ideally, it should be kept at temperatures between 15°C and 25°C. Protect from temperatures below 10°C.
It prefers environments with moderate to high humidity, between 50% and 70%. Spray occasionally indoors dried.
It needs well-drained soil, rich in organic matter. Mixtures for cacti or succulents are recommended.
Fertilize monthly during spring and summer with a balanced, diluted fertilizer. Reduce the frequency in fall and winter.
Remove damaged or diseased segments after flowering to promote healthy growth. Prune lightly to shape the plant.
Can be attacked by mealybugs and mites. Treat with insecticidal soap or neem oil, checking regularly for pests.
Generally, it doesn't need any additional support, but it can be grown with tutors if you want it to grow vertically.
It is not toxic to pets or humans, making it safe to have in homes with children and animals.
