Description
Maranta Leuconeura is a tropical plant native to South America, especially Brazil. Known for its decorative and attractive leaves, the Maranta has striking patterns in shades of green, red and cream. Its leaves close at night, as if they were "praying", hence the popular name "Prayer Plant". This plant is ideal for interiors, providing a touch of nature and color.

Cares
Prefers indirect, bright light. It can tolerate partial shade, but direct exposure to the sun can burn the leaves.
Keep the soil constantly moist, but avoid waterlogging. Water when the top of the soil is dry.
Prefers temperatures between 18°C and 25°C. Does not tolerate temperatures below 15°C.
It needs high humidity, between 60% and 80%. Spray the leaves regularly or use a humidifier.
Use well-drained soil rich in organic matter. A mixture of potting soil with perlite and peat is ideal.
Fertilize monthly in spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength.
Light pruning to remove dead or damaged leaves and stimulate growth.
Can be affected by mites, mealybugs and aphids. Inspect regularly and treat with insecticidal soap or neem oil.
It doesn't need specific support, but it can be beneficial to use tutors to help keep it in shape.
